MECCA’s Youth Community Access (YCA) program supports youth access to natural and cultural resources, focusing on serving those from low-income and disadvantaged communities.

It helps advance Outdoors for All, California’s initiative to expand parks and outdoor spaces in communities that need them the most, improve access to the outdoors for those who lack it, and help all Californians feel a sense of belonging in the outdoors.

The program includes a Youth Advisory Committee, where youth leaders can earn $600 for their time and contributions to the program. It also provides free community outdoor events throughout the year and parent workshops to share information about ACEs and how nature can be a protective factor for youth and families!
